Boston Dynamics makes some of the most impressive robots in the world – so impressive that they can even dance, seemingly with ease. The increasingly impressive features of the bipedal machines created by Boston Dynamics have been racking up YouTube views for years. Now the machines have put together a choreographed dance to The Contours 1962 hit song ‘Do You Love Me’. The dance features three of Boston Dynamics’ creations – the humanoid Atlas, Spot the robot dog, and box-juggling Handle.
Atlas is the 1,8 m (6-ft) humanoid robot, Spot is the four-legged canine-inspired robot and Handle is the robot with two legs and a hand – made for moving boxes in the warehouse.
Boston Dynamics is a spin-off of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and was founded in 1992. They are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Japanese giant SoftBank Group. Hyundai Motor took an 80 percent stake in the company, while SoftBank retained 20 per cent on December 11.
