Cool Space Battles
There certainly is something about a good battle in space that’s cooler than anything else that could be put onscreen. The best space battles in film and television are spectacles in which everything comes together, from special effects, the music, the right amount of character, tactics, and preparation to make sure the drama plays effectively.
These space battle could be anything from relatively high realism space battles to low realism, from massive fleets to two ships fighting it out in a submarine-esque engagement. Whether guns, missiles, lasers, phasers or photon torpedoes are used, this series takes a look at some of the coolest space battles ever put on screen.
Tholians vs Vulcans vs Sulivan vs Starfleet (Star Trek Enterprise: Future Tense
The Enterprise finds a small craft – apparently from the future – adrift in space, and both the Suliban and the mysterious Tholians are intent on retrieving it.
We see the several Suliban cell ships, a primary ship type used by the Suliban Cabal during the mid-22nd century. They were armed with particle weapons and equipped with cloaking devices.
The Tholian starship of the 22nd century, a relatively small but capable starship employed by the enigmatic Tholian Assembly. These four Tholian starships intercepted and disabled the Vulcan cruiser Tal’Kir while it waited to rendezvous with the Enterprise.
