A Russian spacecraft (Progress M-27M/59P) has lost control and is now in free fall along with its cargo of 2.8 tons to the Earth.

It is an unmanned craft that was launched yesterday on a Soyuz rocket in Russia. The idea was for the craft to deliver materials to the international space station. However, something went wrong, the Russian space command lost control of it and it would now seem as it is lost and will crash on Earth.

There should, however, be no (or very low risk) of danger for us here on Earth, since the craft is expected to burn up when it reaches the Earth’s atmosphere.

The clip below shows the craft spinning out of control.
